As a Risk & Control Specialist within PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management organization, this position is primarily based in a location within PNC’s footprint. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities can be performed remotely at manager’s discretion.

The Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks team is accountable for design and oversight of key elements of the firm’s Enterprise Risk Governance Framework, including Risk Appetite, Risk Identification, Strategic Risk, Reputational Risk, and Climate Risk, among others. The ERM Framework team must also provide timely reporting on the status and results of the ERM Frameworks to PNC’s senior leaders. Additionally, the ERM Frameworks team is responsible to intentionally contemplate and define the ERM Strategy and future enhancements.

The role supports the Strategic Risk Framework and may expect to be involved in the following:

• Participate in the development and enrichment of the ERM frameworks and ERM Strategy to meet business and regulatory expectations, including performing analysis on the risk framework components.
• Support the execution of the ERM Strategic Risk Framework, including
• Performing quarterly risk assessments and preparing quarterly Risk Reports,
• Preparing for and participating in the Enterprise Strategic Risk Committee meetings,
• Performing 2LOD Independent Review of the Strategic Plan and analysis for incorporation into the Strategic Risk Framework
• Identifying opportunities for enhancement, where applicable,.
• Utilize critical thinking in the analysis of ERM Framework results, as well as developing and/or maintaining documentation and resources to support the ERM Frameworks.
• Coordination and collaboration with business partners in ERM, IRM, 1st LOD and 2LOD, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful execution of the ERM Frameworks.
• Presentation opportunities to ERM leadership and potential to become Subject Matter Expert.

Job Description

  • Supports the risk management program and corresponding communication strategies.
  • Supports the coordination and implementation of the risk management program to meet regulatory expectations.
  • Under supervision, supports the execution of the risk management program within and across the lines of business. May participate in the consultation to execute the program components.
  • Works to develop risk expertise while working with the businesses and other risk partners (e.g., Compliance, Technology Risk, etc.) to proactively identify risk exposures across PNC.
  • Supports the challenging of business self assessment results (including new initiatives, business as usual activities, and risk management program) and review of applicable independent analyses.
