As a Risk & Control Advisor Sr, you will be within PNC’s Credit Risk Management organization, supporting the Credit Risk Review and Governance teams. This position is primarily based in a location within PNC’s footprint. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities can be performed remotely at manager’s discretion.

In addition to the job description and competencies below, ideal candidates will also have an understanding of credit data and credit business process, analytical thinking, risk management, and process improvement. Additionally, Tableau experience, including developing and exploring data – SQL or SAS knowledge, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills are preferred.

Typical responsibilities of this role may include:
– Improving and executing the Credit Risk Review sampling methodology and sample selection BAU activities.
– Providing insight and assistance around system of record data sourcing, data usage and quality, and data best practices.
– Working with CRR staff to meet needs for data analysis and reporting that provide credit insights beyond what is readily available.
– Supporting the identification, creation, and implementation of continuous improvement activities.
– Coordinating, leading and preparing materials for, and/or participating in departmental meetings and trainings as well as creating and updating data documentation, training documentation, and department communications as required.

Job Description

  • Partners within risk management to plan and execute the risk management program and corresponding communication strategies. Engages the lines of business to review and challenge compliance with programs.
  • Coordinates and implements the risk management program to meet regulatory expectations.
  • Coordinates the timely and proper execution of the risk management program within and across the lines of business. Includes consultation to execute the program components.
  • Provides risk expertise while working with the businesses and other risk partners (e.g., Compliance, Technology Risk, etc.) to proactively identify risk exposures across PNC.
  • Challenges business self assessment results (including new initiatives, business as usual activities, and risk management program) and reviews applicable independent analyses.
